Through the winter of longing, we have made our way

The fervent summer of learning dawns on a radiant day!

The days roll in with thunderous sound

then roll away, horizon-bound

Each day bursts, a flower bright

each corner breathes, a sweet delight

This painted scroll, with blossoms crowned

leaves only your eyes

lost in raptured divine

We listened to legends of earth and sky

and named the brave of ages gone by

Their fearless deeds

their thoughts profound

their wondrous reasoning where truth was found

again and again

made young hearts rise

with joy, with awe, with shining eyes

Those ancestral masters, bright as stars

and the thoughts they once truly conceived afar

through the living lineage they impart

like nectar sweet that fills our life

continue to nourish every part

At times we marvel, at times we fall

at times all traces vanish from all

The abyssal and joyful intensity, changing with fervent vitality

There are no ordinary days

only the stirring of life’s most essential longing

Offering you a ladder to the sky

and truly, you may rise on high

leap into the boundless air

become a star beyond the galaxy of eternal time

Forever radiant in sacred light

Forever freed from sorrow and pain

Forever shining with awakened grace

Forever undimmed, never to fade

That is what I have sought through all my searching

Eternity!
